We believe in British products and this is reflected in our kit.
Bikes
Our bikes are made by Calibre and Vitus who are exceptional brands flying the flag for quality and accessible mountain biking. We took a lot of time looking at various component combinations to get what we believe is the best mountain bike rental fleet in Cumbria. So, if you want to ride the cycle tracks, meander the forest trails or hit up some technical downhill, our bikes will do it and will leave you with a huge smile on your face.
All our bikes come with helmets, first aid kit, spare inner tube, lock, pump, multi tool and rucksack.
Boards
Our colourful boards are made by Sandbanks Style who are based in Poole, Dorset. Sandbanks were originally set up by a father and son who had experience in engineering and manufacturing. This proved to be the perfect balance as they looked at all aspects of what makes a good board, such as the bend in the board and how the board moves through the water. These boards provide optimum stability and maneuverability.
All our boards come with leash, pump, carry rucksack, paddle, dry bag and buoyancy aid. There is also the option of hiring a wet suit and a car-lighter (12v) powered electric pump. Additional buoyancy aids are also available to hire for your passengers (the boards are big and floaty!).
Kayaks
Our amazing inflatable Kayaks, are also made by Sandbanks Style. We offer a double and single kayak, where the double can also be used as a single. They are extremely rigid and feel very similar to a conventional fibreglass kayak. They are a go anywhere kayak as we've had fun with them in both the lakes and the sea. We've also taken our kids out in them, who absolutely loved it! (See our gallery)
The kayaks come with pump, wheelie rucksack, fin, oars, dry bag and buoyancy aids. There is also the option of hiring a wet suit and a car-lighter (12v) powered electric pump. Additional buoyancy aids are also available to hire for your passengers.
eBikes
These are our new eBikes and they have been causing quite a stir outside the shop. They are manufactured by MiRider who are based in Chorley, Lancashire.
These are folding bikes and pack down to the size of airport size hand luggage, so can be collected and placed in your car so you can use them at your accommodation or ridden from the shop. They are voted the UK's best folding eBike.
The bikes have around a 30-40 mile range, a nippy motor which is assisted up to 15mph, rear suspension to avoid bumps and can be used on trail or conventional roads.
